Colour Theory - Our world is made up of colours which can influence the way we feel and react to things. Colour is a key element in Visual Art and  colour theory is a way of organising colours and looking at how they work together. Artists use colour to create balance, contrast and to evoke feelings. In this lesson you will learn to understand colour theory and use it to help influence your art.

Creating Collage - A collage is a picture or design that is created by adhering elements to a flat surface. The word “collage” comes from the French coller meaning “to glue”. Collage is a form of artwork that is made by assembling or organising different materials to create a new piece of art. In this lesson you will learn what collage is, understand the different methods and materials used for collage and them create and construct your own beautiful artwork.

Colour Name Wheels - A unique way to create a colour wheel using your own name, a meaningful word or the name of someone you love. A colour wheel shows you how colours relate to each other and visually demonstrates the relationship between primary, secondary and complementary colours.

Complementary Op Art - Create a piece of art that pops using complementary colours. Complementary Colours are any two colours which are directly opposite each other on the colour wheel. These opposing colours create maximum contrast. Using complementary colors next to one another makes each color appear brighter for maximum effect. In this project we will show you how to create two examples: Optical Illusion Hearts and Op Art Skulls.

Draw 3D Hands - In this project you will learn how to draw a 3D hand that jumps right out of the page with this simple drawing technique to create an easy optical illusion. We also include an Inspiration Page displaying lots of other imaginative ideas to create you own 3D drawings using other shapes.

My Favourite Things Collage - Create a collage filled with pictures of all your favourite things in one place. Showcase all the things you love and create a storyboard that is all about you, filled with all the things you love the most. In this step-by-step project guide we will show you 3 examples of creating your own unique artwork; however the options are endless, then, if you can scan or photograph it, we can print it for you.

Rainbow Collage - Everybody loves rainbows! Rainbow collages are a great activity to learn about colour. You can choose to create your own rainbow using all the colours of the rainbow, just a few colours or create your own colour scheme. Our included Inspiration Page shows lots of ideas on the types of collage materials you can use to create your rainbow, including paint, flowers, cars, and magazine clippings.

Scribble Designs - Scribble drawings are a lot of fun to create and although they are quite simple to do, they become so much more than a scribble. You simply make a scribble outline and fill in the spaces and shapes you make with colour to create an amazing artwork. Lots of ideas are shown in the Inspiration Page that comes with your kit.
